How Diwali has been started
Diwali or dipavali means "lighted lamps" or "glowing diyas" everywhere .
In northern india, the festival is celebrated due to story of king Ram's return to the city of Ayodhya after 14 years of exile and by rescuing of his beloved wife goddess Sita ,who has been kidnapped by the rival king Ravana.
In Southern India ,it is celebrated as the day on which lord krishna defeated the demon Naraksura.
This festival is one of the major festivals celebrated by Hindus, Jain, Sikhs and Some Buddhist which signifies the victory of good over evil.
With gleam of light and echo of the chants, May happiness and contentment fill your life.
